Under the Moon

What is your remedy, your salve for stress? What brings you back to center, to homeostasis, if only for a minute, or maybe moons

I need to be in touch with nature, maybe this means hands in the dirt in my garden, walking the arid house when it’s 20 degrees outside, or maybe it’s a full on forest fantasy come to life.

Music and dance allow me to escape, connect with that piece of self that might be missing in that moment. They’ve always been a part of my life.
But writing short stories, poetry, metaphysical pieces is true therapy, expression, joy, and solace.

Our thoughts, positive, negative and everything in between need an outlet and writing is one of mine. Sometimes it’s a small expression, other times it’s BIG because the world needs to see, hear, become aware that someone or something needs attention, empathy and a loud voice. My voice, your voice, together.

As this blog expands and morphs we’ll hopefully discover ways to think outside the box regarding pet wellness, to walk a path together towards animal advocacy, to listen, to speak, share.

My go to salve, my balm, is nature, and when not immersed in it I write about it, both the tangible and the metaphysical.
